Despite there being many women working as professionals, it feels as something is still lacking. For the outside world, dowry is not on the cards anymore in India, however, the ground reality is totally different. Being educated does not mean, having a high-profile degree – but it is about practically mature for treating everyone with the same spirit.
SaiVa SysTem, a well-known name in the recruitment and Information Technology sector, seems to be thinking in a different way. Out of 500 employees working for them, more than 70 per cent are women. Without a shadow of a doubt, actions do speak louder than words. And SaiVa SysTem is a great example of it.
“Being an SME, when I see myself leading 10 female professionals, it does me feel confident and creative.
“I can proudly say that SaiVa SysTem is a place where gender equality is at its best. They do not feel that how can a lady be with 10 gentlemen.
“In the professional world, it is all about seeing a different light which is to see everyone from the same angle,” said Anushka Sharma.
A sport like boxing was for male-only, however, now the case is totally different. It’s not about male fighting or female fighting, it is a fight. If it is a good show, it deserves the same respect.
“I want the world to be at a stage, where people should stop talking about these topics. These are not topics, these are following ethics at their best. I always treat every employee with a similar bar as it shows another way of equality,” said Sushil Singh, the director of SaiVa SysTem.
Saying great words about providing women with a chance is one thing, but implementing them is a different ball game. India does need several organisations like SaiVa SysTem for making a change. Why there can’t be 70 ladies and 30 gentlemen. It does happen the other way around.
